Ciphers take the written word and transform it into something that is incomprehensible...except to its intended recipient(s). This workshop will introduce you to several different ways to encrypt messages, including Caesarian, Atbash, and hexadecimal methods, and will also discuss the role of ciphers in history as well as modern media. Attendees will practice encrypting and translating coded messages. You will need your laptop for this workshop.
